The 33rd Annual Mushroom Festival in Kennett Square, the mushroom capital of the world, kicks off on Saturday, September 8th for a weekend of fun and entertainment!

The festivities begin on Friday evening with the Community Parade at 6pm. The parade travels down State Street, and features marching bands, floats, and local organizations. Following the parade is Dine & Dance in the Streets event.

The Mushroom Festival street fair begins on SaturdayΒ and features delicious food including mushroom inspired dishes, entertainment all day, nearly 250 vendors, culinary events, growing exhibits, contests, and an Old Fashioned Carnival with rides and games for all ages.

The carnival starts on Friday night and is located across from Kennett High School in the Genesis Healthcare parking lot. Ride tickets are $1.25 per ticket and $25 for 24 tickets. Pay one Price ride wristbands are $25 per wristband/per day at the festival and $20 when purchased in advance at Innovative Ticketing.
